Technology License Transfer Of CIFRI Cagegrow Feed To Glaucus Agrochem Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata

ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore, Kolkata signed Technology License agreement of “CIFRI Cagegrow” floating fish feed with the Glaucus Agrochem Pvt. Ltd. today on 27 April 2023. ICAR-CIFRI grants non-exclusive license for a period of five years for manufacturing and sale of ICAR-CIFRI Cagegrow floating fish feed in the territory of India. The commercialization process was completed through Agrinnovate India Ltd, commercial arm of ICAR.

Dr. B.K. Das, Director, ICAR-CIFRI, Dr. Praveen Malik, CEO, Agrinnovate India Ltd. and Shri Sariful Islam, Managing Director, Glaucus Agrochem Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata signed the agreement on the behalf of their respective organizations.

Dr. B. K. Das, Director, that in last five years ICAR-CIFRI has commercialised and licensed seven technologies. This is the third time that the technology licensing has been facilitated by Agrinnovate India Ltd. CIFRI Cagegrow feed is licensed for second time for a period of five years from 2023-2028 period.
Shri Sariful Islam said that after “ICAR-CIFRI Argcure” this is second technology licensed to Glaucus Agrochem from ICAR-CIFRI. He hoped that the technology partnership with ICAR-CIFRI will strive and continue in future.

ICAR-CIFRI Cagegrow ^® Floating Feed

CIFRI Cagegrow floating feed developed for grow out stages of Pansionodon hypophthalmus and Carp fish farming. It ensures nutrient and energy need of the target species. The Protein and lipid levels of the feed were maintained at 28% and 5% respectively to suit the requirement during the grow out stage. The feed ensures feed to flesh conversion rate of 1.2-1.4 in the temperature range of 28-32˚C.
