CIFRI Awards
ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore celebrated 77th Independence Day on 15 August 2023 with great fervour. As part of Aazaadi Ka Amrit Kaal, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was launched from 13-15 August at Institute headquarters Barrackpore, Kolkata and all the regional centres.
The Independence Day celebration initiated with the march past by the members of security staffs from the Director's residence to the main building of the institute. Dr. Basanta Kumar Das, Director hoisted National Flag in the grand event. Officers, staff members, research scholars and contractual staffs were gathered along with their family members for 77th Independence day celebration.The Director, ICAR-CIFRI, in his address greeted and congratulated all the members of ICAR-CIFRI family on the occasion of 77th anniversary of Indian independence. He congratulated three Head of Divisions who joined recently and hoped that under their leadership all the divisions will strive for greater achievements for next five years. He emphasised that India is transforming from Fifth largest (three Billion US$) economy to third largest (five Billion US$) economy in next five years. He call upon all the scientists to work hard to fulfil the goal set by our DG of one Patent/One product/ publication in high impact factor journals.
