ICAR-CIFRI celebrated Hindi Week 2023

Hindi Week 2023 was organized at ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute from 14 to 20 September 2023. It was inaugurated on 14 September 2023 at the Institute Headquarters in both offline and online mode, in which various regional centers of the Institute participated in online mode. The ceremony was inaugurated with a welcome address and after this, the official language pledge was taken. Further, senior officials of the institute and regional center heads shared their views. Director-in-charge of the institute and Controlling Officer, Hindi Cell, Dr. Shrikant Samanta threw light on the activities and achievements of the official language Hindi. Chief guest of Guwahati regional centre, Dr. Puneet Kumar Singh,

Research Officer, Central Ayurveda Research Institute, CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH, from Guwahati Regional Centre, said that promotion and propagation of Hindi is not only the responsibility of the Central Government but also our responsibility and stressed on ‘समर्थन से ही समर्पण की भावना उत्पन्न होती है’. Hindi monthly newspaper "CIFRI Masik Samachar- August 2023 - was released in the programme .

Many competitions were organized in the institute during Hindi Week for Hindi speaking and non-Hindi speaking. Hindi Week concluded on 20 September 2023. On this occasion, the Director of the Institute, Dr. B. K. Das thanked the steering committee for the successful conduct of Hindi Week On this occasion, the Divisional Heads of the Institute in their speech spoke about Hindi as the communication language and said that Hindi has special importance in communicating with the fishermen.

The Chief Guest of the function was Dr. Satya Prakash Tiwari, Associate Professor (Hindi), Shibpur Deenbandhu College, Howrah, West Bengal appreciated his association with Nilanjali magazine. On this occasion, winners of the competition were awarded and Neelanjali Vol 13(1) alongwith monthly Hindi newsletter, September 2023 was released.
