IICAR-CIFRI participated in the exhibition for Start-up Conclave 2023 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat

A prelude event called "Start-up Conclave 2023" organised by the Education Department of the Gujarat State is conducted December 06-10th 2023 in response to Vibrant Gujarat's recognition as a trailblazing event for drawing investments to the state. This pre-Vibrant Gujarat event is carefully designed to bring angel networks and start-up investors together, promoting a lively exchange of ideas and opportunities. The start-up Conclave-2023 was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of the Gujarat state Shri Bhupendra Patel. Start-up Conclave-2023 is an international conference that connects Gujarat with participants worldwide and provides a productive platform for angel networks and start-up investors to exchange ideas and opportunities.

The nation's premier institute for inland fisheries, ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore, took part in the five-day Start Up Conclave 2023 and showcased the research findings of the institute by means of banners, posters, brochures, books, booklets, leaflets, models, and other materials. The visitors were shown ICAR-CIFRI commercial items such as CIFLIN, CIFRI Fish Tanavhari, CIFRI Cagegrow Feed, CIFRI Argecure, and so on, in addition to a model of a pen culture. Two aquariums were also set up in the ICAR-CIFRI stall by keeping several ornamental fishes for the visitors and highlighting ornamental fish culture techniques and their potential for improving the livelihoods of unemployed youths.

The event was closely monitored by Dr. Basanta Kumar Das, Director of ICAR-CIFRI, and the exhibition stall was led by Dr. Dibakar Bhakta, an institute scientist, with assistance from the staff of the CIFRI Vadodara center.
