Hindi Saptah was celebrated at CIFRI Kochi from 13-20 September 2024. The event was initiated with an inaugural programme followed by a lecture on ‘Rajbhasha Neeti’ (Policy on Hindi Official Language) by Smt. Vandana V., Senior Technical Assistant (OL), ICAR-CMFRI, Kochi which was attended by the staff of CIFRI Kochi unit and Bangalore centre in hybrid mode on 13th September 2024. The lecture elaborated on the several provisions regarding the use of Hindi in different regions of India, the targets for using Hindi for official work and utility of the Kanthastha software. The staffs at the centre and youth from nearby areas participated in the competitions like Hindi Translation, Hindi Essay, Hindi Entertainment Quiz and General Quiz. Dr. Ratheesh Kumar, Scientist, ICAR-CMFRI graced the concluding meeting of Hindi Week on 20th September 2024 and distributed the prizes to the winners of the competition. The programme was successfully co-ordinated by Dr. Thankam Theresa Paul (Senior Scientist), Dr. Deepa Sudheesan (Senior Scientist), and Mrs. Tanuja Abdulla (Scientist) at ICAR-CIFRI Kochi station.
