IPS probationers visited ICAR-CIFRI during their one month training program

One day interactive session was arranged for Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers during their one month academic training at ICAR-CIFRI. 11nos of IPS probationers from Swami Vivekananda State Police Academy, Cantonment, Kolkata, West Bengal visited ICAR-CIFRI on 01.12.2018. Dr. B. K. Das, Director, ICAR-CIFRI interacted with officers and explained the role of Inland Fisheries Sector and CIFRI to augment the fish production of the country subsequently doubling the Farmer’s income by 2022. Dr. Das also suggested to officers to bring the people who are diverted from society to the main stream through Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture. The officers were exposed to the vision, mission and mandates of the ICAR-CIFRI. They also visited Aquariums, Ornamental fish hatchery unit, Recirculatory Aquaculture Systems and different well equipped laboratories of the institute to know a brief on the ongoing research carried out by ICAR-CIFRI
