A meeting of all the women members of ICAR-CIFRI was held on 21 st January, 2019 at Institute HQ. The meeting was jointly organized by the Women Cell and Women Complaint Cell of CIFRI and the meeting was presided over by Dr.B.K Das, Director, CIFRI. The Institute has a strength of total 57 women employees which is 24% of the total strength (employees in position) of CIFRI. A total of 44 women employee including SRFs and contractual staffs were present in the meeting. The meeting was started with the welcome address of Dr. Aparna Roy, Chairman, Women Complaint Cell, CIFRI. She sensitized the newly joined women employees about the role and responsibilities of the women cell and women complaint cell. Director, CIFRI mentioned in his address that these two cells are to maintain a harmonious atmosphere at the Institute and to enable women to pursue their work with dignity and reassurance. All the women employees express their satisfaction about the working environment in CIFRI. The meeting was ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Suman Kumari , Chairman Women Cell.
